Holmhead Cottage - a period 'but & ben' cottage tastefully rebuilt to maintain existing features, complemented by modern levels of comfort.
Built in the early 1700's by the owner's forefathers and lived in continuously until 1976 when it was inherited by Jim & Alison.
Holmhead stands in 2 acres of its own land, surrounded by trees and forest.
Holmhead is approached off the main A97 via an unmade road used by only one immediate neighbour. Logie Coldstone village is a 2 minutes walk from Holmhead.
The Airedale Bar serves beer and spirits - lunches, dinner, teas and coffee all day till late, children are welcome and the hosts always make our holidaymakers welcome.
Unfortunately the local shop closed some years ago but provisions can be bought at Tarland approx. 5 miles away. |
